BMUS have teamed up with BXTA for an exciting day on all things prostate cancer. If you are already performing Local Anaesthesia Transperineal Prostate Biopsy (LATP Bx), are keen to set up an LATP Bx service, or just have an overall interest in prostate cancer imaging/diagnostics, then this event is perfect for you. The day will combine a mixture of lectures and practical workshops from seasoned and expert practitioners in the field to arm you with tips and tricks for getting the best out of your LATP Bx service.
The day will begin with lectures including an update on prostate cancer, MRI imaging and Gleason scoring, considerations for setting up a LATP biopsy service and the use of fusion imaging/outcomes. The afternoon will provide 3 practical workshops including administering local anaesthesia, anatomy of the prostate and fusion imaging. The day will finish with discussions about gaining consent and management of prostate cancer.
