BMUS extends its heartfelt congratulations to all this year's prize winners from the 55th Annual Scientific Meeting, held in Coventry from December 10th to 12th.

 

Best Student Presentation :

Winner: Megan Watkin-Bennett, Birmingham City University

Best Scientific Poster Prize :

Winner: Vikesh Chandaria, St George's University Hospital NHS Trust

Best Case Report Poster :

Winner: Leah Marsden, Wye Valley National Health Service Trust

Title: An unexpectedly therapeutic ultrasound: Real-time capture of ovarian cyst rupture

Best Clinical Poster :

Winner: Ruth Reeve, Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust

Winner: Dr Ruth Reeve, Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust

Title: Investigating HCC Ultrasound Surveillance Service Delivery in the UK

 

BMUS Champion of the Year 2024:

Earlier this year the profession was asked to nominate inspirational sonographers who they considered had gone above and beyond on a day-to-day basis, were an utmost credit to their profession, and deserved to be recognised for making a difference.

It was requested that the individuals nominated should:

  • Ensure that patients are placed at the heart of service delivery.
  • Goes above and beyond to develop and maintain excellence in their field of ultrasound.
  • Supports and inspires others.
  • Encourages the education and development of others.
