On the Day Information
We are looking forward to welcoming you to the British Medical Ultrasound Society’s 55th Annual Scientific Meeting between the 10th and 12th of December in Coventry.
Please take careful note of ALL of the following information, as it will assist you in navigating the conference smoothly.

Registration
- Registration opening times are as follows:
- 8am Tuesday 10th
- 8am Wednesday 11th
- 8:30am Thursday 12th
- Make sure that you arrive early/on time for registration as Day 1, especially, will be very busy – please expect a slight delay entering the venue due to queues at the registration desk.
- Every attendee receives a personalised registration pack. This will contain your name badge, tickets, practical session wristbands, notepad, pen, and informational material. You will also receive a tote bag, and a lanyard. Please attach your badge to this lanyard and wear it throughout the event – making sure to bring it with you every day if you are attending multiple days.
- If you/your Trust has already paid for your attendance, you will have received a confirmation email from us. You should go to the “Prepaid Registration” desk to collect your registration pack.
- If your Trust has sent through a Purchase Order (PO) to cover your attendance, you will also need to go to the “Prepaid Registration” desk.
- If you/your Trust have not submitted a PO, or made payment against your attendance, you will need to go to the “On the Day Registration” desk. Here you will need to make payment for your attendance at the meeting. You may also bring in a physical copy of a purchase order – it needs to be noted on the purchase order that it is against your BMUS issued invoice number and/or name. A physical PO of this type will exempt you from payment.
- If you are attending more than one day of the conference, you will not need to collect a new delegate pack/register on the second day, just make sure to be wearing your name badge.
Badges
-
In your registration pack you will find your name badge. Please wear this at all times throughout your attendance. Please ensure that if you are attending more than one day you are conscious of keeping this with you before arrival each day – you will only be permitted entrance to the venue if you are wearing a badge for the correct day. If you are found not wearing a badge, you will be asked to put it on, or will be escorted to the Registration area to receive a new one. This is very important for both fire safety reasons and accountability for attendance.
- Your badge will have a QR code on it on one side. This is for your use within the exhibition, so that you can register your interest with exhibitors to be contacted via email.
Practical Session Wristbands
- Practical session wristbands – these are colour-coded according to type and have the date and times specified on them.
- If you are attending a practical session at some point, your wristband will have a coloured dot on it – these dots allocate you into a group for your practical training session to speed up the process and ensure you get the most out of the session.
Lunch Tickets
- Inside your name badge you will find all the tickets you will need for the entirety of your conference attendance. Please take note of the type of options that you might find in there depending on your selected attendance:
- 1x lunch ticket for Tuesday 10th
- 1x lunch ticket for Wednesday 11th
- 1x lunch ticket for Thursday 12th
- Please make every effort to keep your tickets safe.
Microsite
- BMUS has a free microsite available at: https://meetings.bmus.org/ultrasound-2024/
- This microsite will help you to navigate and personalise your time at the conference. You will find the full programme, speaker biographies, oral abstracts, posters, and feedback survey on here alongside access to create a personal programme and your QR code.

This will generate a new password for you that will be emailed to the relevant email address, and you can reset it, and log in.

- The feedback survey will be sent to the email address you registered with by 4:30pm at the end of each day. If you are attending more than one day, you will need to fill out a survey for each day of your attendance.
- The feedback survey will remain open until midnight on 10th January 2025.
